There’s always a barrier to getting started in the gym - whether it’s ankle mobility for squats, grip strength for pulls, or managing your breathing during conditioning. You can either let those barriers hold you back, or you can find smart, practical ways to lower them. That’s where coaching makes a real difference. When you work with a coach, you’re not just paying to use their space or book an hour of their time. You’re outsourcing the problem-solving. A good coach takes your unique abilities and goals, and tailors the path forward. Their job is to coach you safely and effectively, while removing the guesswork.Almost everyone who trains with me ends up doing some version of plyometrics, jumps, olympic lifts, metcon circuits, and strength training. The difference is: I know how to scale it and where to start for each person. I believe that’s what good coaching looks like.
