Muscle - all show and no go?

Jul 16, 2025

Picture this…your body is a car. Muscle mass is your engine, quietly burning calories just idling. The more you have, the hotter you burn. You haven’t even stepped on the exercise pedal, and your body is already helping you shed some extra fuel.

Muscle isn’t just your engine - it’s also your suspension system. It lets you go over bumps and bad patches without the entire car breaking down. It’s the reason we can land a jump safely and not have our knees sound alarms. It’s why our spine doesn’t file a restraining order every time we lift grocery bags. The more robust the suspension, the fewer the repairs and maintenance costs.

That said, your daily commute (lifestyle) decides your suspensions tuning. You don’t need the suspension of a monster truck. You just need enough to not make your every drive a liability.

Muscle mass is independence. It’s being able to drive yourself places. Drive the off beaten path with confidence. It means holding value better as time passes. It is being able to winch your buddies out reliably, with no harm to your system.

Ask yourself this - if your engine breaks down, and I don’t mean your car, what are you riding on?
